BioCharacter's full name: “The Monarch”
Anime/manga/video game/show that the character is from: The Venture Bros.
What status your character is going to have: Teacher of an elective course in Entomology
Background info on your character: The Monarch came from a typical childhood. His parent’s plan crashed in a forest and he was all alone as a young child in the forest, stranded and hopeless until the Monarch was saved and became a part of the butterfly (specifically the Monarch division of the butterfly family) way of life. He learned to live as a butterfly until he was abandoned yet again when his newfound family flew south for the winter. They are suspected to be dead.
After that the Monarch flew to New York and collected a fat inheritance from his dead parents which allowed him to live comfortably. Not much is known about the Monarch’s past aside from that, and his absolute hatred of Dr. Thaddeus Venture. The reason for this is unknown, however both attended the same college and poetry class and it is believed that Venture mocked the Monarch’s poetry and eyebrows.
Overall he is quite a weak villain and prefers to spout of rants against Venture as opposed to actually killing him. He lives the fantasy of being a super villain, as opposed to carrying out the actions of one. Even Dr. Venture and his bodyguard, Brock Samson, don’t see him as a threat; rather they are either annoyed or amused by his behavior, Venture having the former mannerisms towards him.
The Monarch has a love, Dr. Girlfriend, who speaks in a manly deep voice and bears an odd resemblance to Jackie Kennedy. He stole her heart when she was a super villain, Queen Etheria being her old alias, and they were together until a tell-all book about the Monarch came out also revealing Dr. Girlfriend’s sordid past relationships. Since then though, the Monarch was incarcerated and escaped, filly solidifying his relationship with Dr. Girlfriend and marrying her after gaining back her heart. Though she never said, “I do.”
The Monarch currently still attempts to kill Dr. Venture using whatever odd means necessary that comes to him. He once had a total of 83 henchmen total, many killed by Brock Samson who oddly enough also seems to worship Samson. However, while the Monarch was wrongly incarcerated all but two defected to another villain. Luckily the Monarch managed to obtain dozens more once he escaped prison and seems to be better equipped now due to the advice of Dr. Henry Killinger, who was briefly an advisor to the Monarch and even patched up his relationship with Dr. Girlfriend.
He lives in a giant floating cocoon that is decorated pink and purple, and his weapons and costumes, modeled after butterflies, are erroneous and have nothing to do with the anatomy or biological makeup of a butterfly. The cocoon moves and even he doesn’t even know its own location.
He tries quite hard to be a good villain but falls short every time. He even joined the Guild of Calamitous Intent, a guild made up of super villain and guild that is quite respected as being truly evil. The Monarch joined for the health insurance.
